LCD modules with backlight are available upon your choice. These make use of easy-to-see light sources such as CCFL, EL and LED. The following examples show the structures of LCD modules with backlight.
 

1. CCFL (Cold Cathode Fluorescent Lamp) Features
· High brightness of 3,000 to 4,000 cd/m2
· Long life time (About 20,000 hours)
· Low heat generation
· White light color


2. EL (Electroluminescence) Features
· Thin thickness from 0.4 to 1.0 mm
· Wide driving condition of 60 to 1000hz and 150V AC Max.
· Light colors are blue-green, yellow-green and white.
· Service time is about 5,000 hours.

3. LED (Light-Emitting Diode) Features
· Uniformity of lighting
· Long life time (about 100,000 hours)
· Low voltage driving (DC) is available without inverter
· Various color of yellow-green, amber, red, etc.
